Narrative - artefacts (2012)

New delivery of tracks by Narrative, solo project of Lewis Gorham from Melbourne Australia, and my third review for him too.

But this time I'm not getting it completely as a whole.

Opening track, "I thought I heard you haunting" is beautiful and inviting, drone waves of sound as you're finding shelter from summer rain under a metallic roof. I can even smell this special perfume of actinomycetes spores, exhaled from the ground when it rains after days of drought.

The two central tracks leaves me insensitive and unaffected.

But I'm back on board for the last and final composition, "I can play the piano I swear" which floats like a mirage in the summer sun.
