Woodworkings - goodbye homes (Futurerecordings, 2011)

I am dissolving myself into ambient drone music mixing digital processing and real string instruments, and "goodbye homes" is propitious to such intoxication.

Kyle Woodworth knows how to make you drown, with the help of Gordon Withers's cello.

I won't be complaining when extra tracks finally released as a proper EP are superb like that, and the central place given to guitar and cello is the main source of bliss.

It's not spectacular, just full of melancholic wonder and it makes your everyday walk from home to work more worthy and bucolic, giving to a single tree the appearance of a forest, or to a sudden bit of sky between two buildings, the depth of the milky way.

"Rusty Lips" is love at first sight.
